Restorative Yoga with Summer now being offered

Restorative yoga focuses on alignment, relaxation, and surrender into poses. Restorative Yoga is the Yin (stillness) to the Yang of Vinaysa Yoga (movement). Summer will guide you through how to use props like blocks, blankets, and straps in order to help increase your flexibility and range of motion. You will be holding your poses longer and be encouraged to relax both your body and mind. Summer's Restorative yoga class is designed for all levels, and is ideal for beginners, golden-ager, and those looking for a balance to their dynamic workouts.

City of Rancho Cordova - Yoga Workshop = Success !!

The 3 week introduction to yoga at the City of Rancho Cordova was great fun. Students learned poses and breathing techniques that hopefully helped relieve the stress that Christmas time can bring. The 3 week class as well as the massage proceeds generated a donation of $85 to the City of Rancho Cordova. Body Investment looks forward to partnering with the City again in 2010.

Body Investment Studio will be offering Family time yoga on Saturdays from 11:00-11:45. The cost for Head Start participants will be $25 per month for a family of 4.

Partnering with the City of Rancho Cordova

Starting December 1st, Body Investment Studio would like to conduct a 3 week (2 days a week) Introduction to Yoga lunch-time workshop. Where we will teach & practice the basics of yoga: What is Yoga? Sun A, Sun B, Yin Yoga, Breath work, & Mediation.

The workshop will take place at the City Hall's McKesson building on Tuesdays & Thursdays beginning at 12:15pm. We will also have our massage therapist on site for chair massages for only a dollar a minute.

The cost for the classes will be $10 a class which will include the 45 minute class & a light bag lunch for the students. Body Investment Studio can provide a mat for a student who does not have one. Anyone who signs up for the full workshop will receive a week's FREE yoga at Body Investment Studio.

25% of the proceeds will be donated to the City of Rancho Cordova.
